startupjs.ai builds and hosts apps you create by chatting with an AI. This page explains, in plain words, what data we handle and why.
What we collect
- Your account — when you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. That’s how you log in; we don’t see your Google password.
- Your projects — the sites and apps you build, including their content and data, are stored on our servers so we can host them for you.
- Your chat with the AI — the messages and files you send the assistant are stored with your project (that’s how it keeps context) and are sent to the AI model provider to generate responses.
- Usage and billing records — AI usage metering, credit balances and payment history. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- The waitlist note — if you tell us what you plan to build, we use it only to prioritize access.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data. To anyone.
- We don’t use your projects or chats to advertise to you.
- We don’t read your projects’ user data except to operate the service or when you ask us for help.
Cookies and storage
We use browser storage (localStorage) to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising trackers.
Services we rely on
Google (sign-in), AI model providers via OpenRouter (generating your app when you chat), Stripe (payments), Mailgun (transactional email), and Hetzner (servers in the EU).
Your projects’ visitors
Apps you build may collect data from their own users (accounts, orders and similar). That data belongs to your project and is your responsibility; we host it for you and don’t use it for anything else.
Deleting your data
Deleting a project permanently removes its data. To delete your whole account, contact us and we’ll remove it along with everything attached to it.
